An international product comparison

Choose the product before comparing the brand.

Marketplace discovery, delivery for an existing channel and a restaurant ordering website are different buying jobs. This page separates them so you can compare GastroGrowth with the relevant Uber product.

See it with your restaurant in mind

Uber Eats is no longer available in Italy according to Uber Help. US product sources below do not establish local availability or prices elsewhere.

International decision guide using US product definitions, with Italy status checked separately. It does not establish GastroGrowth integrations with Uber products or provider availability for any restaurant.

Check the country before building your shortlist.

The same brand can have different products and terms in different markets. Confirm the current service for your restaurant address before comparing features. Italian-language help pages or international product pages are not sufficient evidence of local availability. The sourced facts below distinguish the Italy status from the US merchant product definitions.

Start with the job your restaurant needs done.

A company can sell several products that affect an order at different points. Give each requirement a name before asking which solution is better.

Help people discover the restaurant

You want an ordering presence in a channel where potential customers already look for food. Evaluate visibility, the customer journey, the local offer and the actual contribution to your business. Do not assume a marketplace order is always a new customer or an order you could never receive elsewhere.

Deliver an order you already received

You have a website, phone or other source of demand and need the meal taken to the customer. Evaluate fulfilment availability, request methods, handoff rules and responsibility for exceptions. This requirement does not necessarily involve listing the restaurant in a marketplace.

Operate an ordering website

You need a maintained menu, a checkout and a route for customers who already know the restaurant. Compare the full order and customer-record journey. An ordering site still needs an audience, a service plan and clear responsibilities after checkout.

Where GastroGrowth fits in that picture.

GastroGrowth supports a restaurant-branded ordering channel connected to menu management, customer records, order handling and kitchen work. Pickup and an own-driver delivery operation are the relevant fulfilment paths described here. The restaurant supplies its delivery team, and provider-dependent setup must be checked. GastroGrowth does not promise a native Uber Eats order integration, an Uber Direct connection or a supplied fleet. Keep those boundaries visible if external delivery capacity is part of your requirement.

See the platform journey

Ask about customer actions, not an ownership slogan.

Useful comparisons distinguish an accessible order history, a report, a contact field and a permitted marketing action.

Inspect the record

Ask each provider to show what staff can see after a customer orders through the exact product under discussion. Look at the contact details, order history and restaurant scope. Do not transfer an assumption about a marketplace product to a separate direct-ordering website product.

Inspect the available action

Can the restaurant add an existing contact, correct a local record or export the relevant list? GastroGrowth supports Business-local contacts and history, but a restaurant-level database export and complete self-service bulk CSV migration are not currently offered. Evaluate that honestly against your requirements.

Inspect permission and messaging separately

A name in a customer record is not automatically a subscriber. Check customer-sharing choices and the specific communication workflow. GastroGrowth’s current general website promise includes loyalty and coupons, not a ready-to-run automated campaign engine across every channel.

Explore customer-record boundaries

Separate delivery capacity from delivery software.

Map the responsibility before enabling delivery on a new direct channel. A software demonstration does not create capacity to fulfil the order.

Your situationThe question to resolve
You already employ or operate driversDoes the assignment, device and completion workflow fit how your team works?
You need an external fulfilment providerWhich service is locally available, contracted and supported by the intended ordering system?
You want to start with pickupCan customers find the location and can staff identify and complete the collection reliably?
You need several deliveries planned togetherIs the required multi-stop execution actually available? GastroGrowth does not currently offer automated optimised runs.
You need a precise delivery promiseWhich service rules and progress information are supported for the real setup? Avoid assuming universal live-traffic estimates.

Do not turn a US price into a global comparison.

The cited Uber page is a US source with product-specific and regional qualifications. This comparison does not reproduce those rates or apply them to another country. Ask for current terms for the actual product and restaurant location. For GastroGrowth, request a quote that separates platform and setup work from payment processing, the delivery operation and optional services. A direct channel is not automatically free to operate, and a marketplace charge may cover work that needs a separate cost in your own setup.

Understand GastroGrowth pricing questions

Use a demonstration to expose the differences.

Compare the same intended service in each product. A useful demonstration follows the meal rather than skipping from a homepage to a sales chart.

  1. 01

    Start at the ordering link

Use a phone, find the correct restaurant or location and choose a meal with realistic options. Check the account requirement, payment choices and service times. In GastroGrowth, the current checkout includes verified email; it is not advertised as guest checkout.

  2. 02

    Move to the restaurant team

Find the incoming order, review its details and follow preparation. Ask how the team keeps track if other channels remain in separate systems. Without a verified integration, do not assume that order queues, menus or customer records will automatically consolidate.

  3. 03

Follow fulfilment and the customer record

Complete pickup or the supported delivery workflow, then inspect the resulting history. Discuss a realistic failure: a device connection problem, an unavailable item or a refund request. Check which team or provider owns the response and what the customer sees.

Choose based on the work you want to own.

There may be more than one useful product in the eventual setup. The next step should make the responsibilities clearer.

A direct channel with restaurant operations

Explore GastroGrowth when you want to review the branded customer journey and the connected restaurant workflow together. Bring the menu, current devices and intended fulfilment method. Check the customer-record and integration limits before treating it as a replacement for another system.

A specific Uber merchant product

Use the central source records to identify the relevant product, then confirm its local offer directly. A decision about marketplace reach is different from a decision about fulfilment or an ordering site. Keep each quote tied to its own service rather than comparing company names alone.

Several channels alongside each other

Assign an owner for each order queue, menu update and customer support route. Keep the direct channel easy for regulars to find, and review its first services before expanding. No integration or commercial compatibility is established merely by mentioning both products in the same plan.

Bring the product name and the restaurant location.

Tell us which current ordering or delivery service you use, and which job you want GastroGrowth to perform. We can walk through the supported product, identify the setup boundaries and discuss the relevant quote. That is a more useful starting point than a promise to replace every service with one tool.

See it with your restaurant in mind

A few things you might be wondering.

Are Uber Eats, Direct and Webshop the same product?

No. The central source records distinguish marketplace ordering, delivery fulfilment and an ordering-site offer. Verify the relevant product in your country.

Can GastroGrowth use Uber couriers?

An Uber courier or Direct integration is not currently promised. The described GastroGrowth delivery operation uses the restaurant’s own team.

Do the US product facts apply to my restaurant?

Not automatically. Availability, pricing and terms need to be confirmed for your restaurant location and the specific product.
